The Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds (ゼルダの伝説２つの塔, Zeruda no Densetsu: Futatsu no Tou) is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the seventeenth installment in The Legend of Zelda series, and the first game in the series to be released on the Nintendo 3DS. The game follows the protagonist, Link, as he travels between the world of Hyrule and Lorule, two parallel worlds, to save Hyrule from the evil sorcerer, Yuga. The game features a top-down view, similar to that of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and the ability for Link to turn into a drawing, allowing him to travel along walls and move through obstacles. The game also features a new item system, which allows Link to rent or purchase items from a shop, as well as the ability to upgrade items with special items found throughout the game. The game features a variety of puzzles and enemies, as well as new locations and characters. Players can also use StreetPass to exchange items with other players. The game also features a multiplayer mode, where up to four players can compete in a variety of mini-games.
