Command & Conquer (in Japanese: コマンド・アンド・コンカー) is a real-time strategy game developed by Westwood Studios and released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. It is the first game in the Command & Conquer series and was followed by Command & Conquer: Red Alert. The game is set in a future where two factions, the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, are vying for control of the world. The player takes control of one of these factions and must build up their forces in order to defeat the other. The game features a variety of units, structures, and technologies that can be used to build an army and defeat the enemy. The game also features a single-player campaign, as well as a multiplayer mode. Command & Conquer is a classic real-time strategy game that has been enjoyed by many players since its initial release.
