Gauntlet Legends (Europe) (Japanese title: ガントレットレジェンド) is an action-adventure game developed by Atari Games and released for the Nintendo 64 console in 1999. The game is a sequel to the 1985 arcade game Gauntlet, and is the first game in the Gauntlet series to be released for a home console. The game follows four adventurers as they travel through time to save the world from an evil sorcerer. Players can choose from four characters – a warrior, a valkyrie, a wizard, and an elf – each with unique abilities and weapons. The game features a variety of levels, enemies, and bosses, as well as a two-player cooperative mode. Gauntlet Legends also features a unique item system, which allows players to collect and use items to increase their character's stats and abilities. The game was well-received upon release, and is considered to be one of the best games on the Nintendo 64.
