It is the fourth installment of the NBA Live series and the first game in the series to be released on the Nintendo 64. The game features NBA players from the 1998-99 season and includes all of the teams from the NBA. Players can choose from a variety of game modes, including exhibition, season, playoffs, and All-Star Weekend. The game also features an improved graphics engine, full-motion video sequences, and a variety of options for customizing the game. NBA Live 99 also includes a soundtrack featuring songs from various artists, as well as commentary from Marv Albert and Mike Fratello.
