NHL 99 (USA) (Japanese: ナショナル・ホッケー・リーグ99), released in 1998, is a sports video game developed and published by EA Sports for the Nintendo 64 console. It is the seventh installment of the NHL series and the first to be released on the Nintendo 64. The game features improved graphics, more detailed player models, and a new 'Skill Stick' feature that allows players to control their shots and passes. Players can also customize their teams with a variety of jerseys, logos, and arenas. NHL 99 also includes a 'Season Mode' which allows players to take their team through an entire season, as well as a two-player mode for head-to-head competition.
