NHL Blades of Steel '99 (USA) (ナインティーエックスブレイズオブスティール '99 in Japanese) is a sports video game developed by Konami and released for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. It is the fourth installment of the Blades of Steel series, and the first to be released for the Nintendo 64. The game features all the teams from the 1998-1999 National Hockey League season, as well as two bonus teams. Players can take control of any team in the league and compete against the computer or a friend in either exhibition or season mode. The game features realistic graphics and sound, as well as a variety of play modes, including a shootout mode, a penalty shot mode, and a practice mode.
