Pokemon Snap (ポケモンスナップ) is a Nintendo 64 game released in Italy in 1999. It is a rail shooter game set in the world of the Pokémon franchise. The goal of the game is to take photographs of various Pokémon in a variety of environments. Players use a virtual camera to take pictures of different species of Pokémon, with the aim of earning points for the quality of the photograph. The game features several levels, each with different environments and Pokémon. Players can also use items to interact with the Pokémon, such as throwing apples to attract them or using the Pester Ball to scare them away. Pokémon Snap also features a variety of mini-games and bonus levels that can be unlocked by completing certain tasks. The game was well-received by critics and was followed by a sequel, Pokémon Snap 2, for the Nintendo Wii U in 2013.
