Vigilante 8 (Europe) (Japanese Title: ヴィジランテ8) is a vehicular combat game developed by Luxoflux and published by Activision for the Nintendo 64. The game is set in an alternate version of the United States in the 1970s, where a group of vigilantes called the Vigilante 8 is trying to stop the sinister plans of a mysterious oil baron named Coyote. Players take control of one of eight vehicles and battle against each other in a variety of arenas. The game features a single-player story mode and a two-player split-screen mode. In addition, the game includes a wide variety of weapons, ranging from rockets and missiles to oil slicks and landmines. Vigilante 8 is an exciting and action-packed game that offers hours of entertainment for gamers of all ages.
