Advance Wars: Dual Strike (Japanese: ファミコンウォーズDS), is a turn-based strategy game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. The game is the third installment in the Advance Wars series, and is the first to feature dual-screen gameplay. The game follows the same format of the previous installments, with the player controlling a faction of military forces in order to defeat the enemy forces by capturing their headquarters. The game features new units, such as the Black Hole Army, as well as new game mechanics, such as the Commanding Officer system, which allows the player to deploy multiple commanders on the battlefield. Additionally, the game features a new story mode, which follows the conflict between the Orange Star and Blue Moon nations, as well as a new online multiplayer mode. Advance Wars: Dual Strike was well received by critics, who praised the game's graphics, gameplay, and overall presentation.
