Players are put to the test as they answer questions from various subject areas, ranging from Math and Science to Social Studies and Language Arts, which are typically taught to 5th graders in the USA. Players must prove that they are smarter than a 5th grader by correctly answering a series of 10 questions. If a player answers a question incorrectly, they can use one of three lifelines to help them out. The game also features a multiplayer mode, where up to four players can compete against each other to answer the questions.
