Bookworm (Europe), ブックワーム (Japan), is an interactive word game developed by PopCap Games for the Nintendo DS. The goal of the game is to create words from a grid of 16 letter tiles. As the player creates words, the tiles are removed from the board and replaced with new ones. The longer the words created, the more points the player will earn. The player must also watch out for burning tiles, which can cause the board to catch fire and end the game. The game features three modes of play, including Classic, Action and Endless. Classic mode is the main game mode and requires the player to create words to earn points and progress to the next level. Action mode is a timed game where the player must create words quickly to earn points and bonuses. Endless mode allows the player to play without a time limit and progress as far as they can.
