Contra - Dual Spirits (Japan) (魂斗羅デュアルスピリッツ) is a 2D side-scrolling action game released on the Nintendo DS in 2008. Developed by Konami, it is the latest installment in the popular Contra franchise which first debuted in 1987. The game follows the story of Bill Rizer and Lance Bean, two members of the elite Contra force, as they battle an alien force known as the 'Neo-Salamander Army'. Players take control of either Bill or Lance and battle their way through a variety of levels, taking on enemies, bosses, and even other Contra forces. The game features a variety of weapons, including the classic spread gun, as well as a host of new weapons and abilities. There is also a two-player co-op mode, allowing players to team up and take on the alien forces together.
