Giana Sisters DS (USA) or Giana Sisters DS (Japanese: ジャイアンナ・シスターズ DS) is a platform video game developed by Spellbound Entertainment and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. The game is a remake of the 1987 Commodore 64 game The Great Giana Sisters. In the game, the player takes control of either Giana or Maria and must traverse a variety of levels filled with enemies, traps and hazards. Along the way, the player can collect coins, gems and other items to aid them in their quest. The game also features two different modes of play, with the player able to switch between them at will. The first mode is the classic mode, which is a faithful reproduction of the original game, while the second mode is the modern mode, which features updated graphics, music and levels.
