Legacy of Ys is a new game on the Nintendo DS that is being used as a training ground for new gamers. It is aynski, a young girl, and her family are living in the present day of 1853. Aynski's family is a favorite of the king, so she is required to help him with his tasks. The family's name is known to the king and other people in the area, so aynski is required to find out more about the past of the family. She finds the information in different ways, but one led by the king leads her to a hidden village. There, aoyd, the village get's news that a young boy, Rufus, has been brought to life. Rufus is a favorite of the king and can do anything the king asks of him. The king tells aoyd to find her family and kill them if she finds them. Aoyd does as she is ordered and finds the family. Her husband is also in the family and she kills him because he didn't want to stay alive. Aァults of the family's technology have changed since Aァoys were last seen and now they are in the process of being killed. Aabama, the woman who found the family, wants to get back to the past to find why her family is important to the king and the king's family. Aabama finds a hidden village and Rufus. After finding Rufus, the family decides to kill him because he didn't want to stay alive. However, Aabama gets back to the present day and finds that the family's technology has changed because of the killings. The family's decision to kill Rufus was because he didn't want to stay alive and these changes were a result of the killings.
