Mario and his friends, Luigi and Toad, are on their way to Madagascar to stop a powerful dragon from reaching the sea. They use their swimming, climbing, and dodging skills to stop the dragon's path. As they get closer to the forest, the danger become more threatening. Mario and Luigi find an opening in the tree-clones and jump into the forest, Toad, who is loyal to the last breath, helps them get through the obstacles, and Mario's friends never leave his side. The journey takes them through the life of a human, who is constantly under pressure: he has to find a way to save his friends from the dragon and save himself.
