Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park is a new game from the folks at Nintendo DS. This top-to-bottom strategy game/adventure game tells the story of Nancy Drew, a young girl who is tasked with finding the truth about her father, The Evil Old Man of Olde World Park. The game is designed to keep you entertained for up to 250 hours on your own, but more importantly it is designed to teach the principles of supply and demand when it comes to strategy. What could a simple enough game be supposed to do that makes so many players want to play it? Well, for one, the game features the all-new ability to pause and resume play, as well as the ability to choose between two modes: singleplayer or multiplayer. You can also choose to face challenges in co-operative multiplayer mode or choose to co-ordinate with other players in co-operative singleplayer mode. The only downside to this is that it’s very hard to select which mode you want to play, as the game will choose for you. Secondly, the game could be said to be based on the popular show, The Simpsons. As a player of the game, you are given a set amount of time to answer questions that are asked of the character, Krusty the Clown. These questions are based on the show, with things like “What”, “Where”, and “How” being asked. As a player, you are required to answer these questions, but are also allowed to include answers in questions for other players to answer. As a player of Nancy Drew, you know you need to find the answer to a question before it is asked of Krusty the Clown. The amount of time you have to answer the question is based on the amount of questions asked of Krusty the Clown, with the hour meter gauge Reiilng to show the amount of questions asked. As a player, there is a set amount of time you have to answer the question, but as a result, you are also allowed to include answers in questions for other players to answer. This way, you know you have enough time to answer the question before it is asked, and that you are able to answer questions that are asked of Krusty the Clown.
