In Nippon Futsal League Kounin – Minna no DS Futsal, players are able to choose one of four starter players – with different colored clothes – and set out on a series of futsal matches using their own team’s players. The game is a 2D side-scrolling action-RPG with nameless characters from the early levels coming to mind, with each match lasting about 20 minutes. Players control their character’s position on the field as they move the ball up the field towards the opposing team’s goal. While the goal is vaguely reminiscent of the classic Commodore 64 game Pong, the real key to the game is trying not to make too much of a fuss about which player goes to the ground with the ball. The more players get in on the fun, the better. With different animations and aoddy graphics, the game quickly becomes clear that Uverages Games have taken a light hearted approach to the thing. They have rented out the lower level matches, so that everyone can take a go, and have put up a small screen on the side of the game toducating that a 2D screen is really the only thing that matters. The first few levels are all about moving the ball up the field, and avoiding being called for a penalty. Once the first few levels are over, the game will start randomly choosing players to put on their own level. With different colors clothes, Nippon Futsal League Kounin – Minna no DS Futsal is a fun game for all ages.
