In Over the Hedge - Hammy Goes Nuts! (USA), Hammy is a very small and underprivileged dog who is trying to get back to his old self. In order to do this, he needs to do something that is always so difficult for humans - he needs to eat. Every day, Hammy brings in a new piece of food, but he can't seem to help himself - he eats more and more. One day, Hammy finds himself in a terrible situation. His food is gone, and he doesn't know how to get out of it. All he knows is that he needs to find and eat another food piece to survive. Hammy is a very unique dog, and he is not going to be found without food. He will do anything to get his food back and figure this out quickly.
