Planet Rescue is a game for the Nintendo DS that is set in the world of Earth-2, where a lack of air has caused a massive pandemic that has resulted in the displacement of most of the population. To prevent the disease from spreading, first-time players are tasked with saving the data of many different animals from a life or death struggle as they must navigate their way through a dark and dangerous world. One player also has the task of recover data from a rival team of scientists, who have developed a virus that can spread through living things. The game is full of Animated Cutscenes of people trying to do what they can to save others, with only to see the inevitable death of all that is life. The game is an escape from the real world, and the game over is a place where players can find information on various animals, as well as find others who have faced similar challenges in their lives.
