In Pogo Island, players are a giant green lobster who must find new and cleaner water to drink while avoiding boats full of people. Each water source provides with different tasks such as swimming ashore to find food, or swimming in the water to find games and features. The game is designed for 2D graphics and is based on a light-based system, so graphics are not very good. However, the game is well made and the graphics are good, if a little bit basic. The game is set in a green-hued island and the environment is typical of this type of game. Players must use their droplet-like appendages to find and drink new water sources, or use their eyes to find what is in the water.
