In Puzzle de Harvest Moon, the player assumes the role of a young, Moriai, as she and her family try to survive in a picturesque town in Japan's on-going farming season. From field to field, Moriai must find and save crops; in order to do so, she must collect stars, which she must then trade with other players for goods and services. The game is set in a small town in upstate New York during the farming season, and the playable characters are the various crops that must be grown, as well as the various monsters that may appear along the way. Reward stars are used to trade with other players, and it is the player's job to find all of the fields and rewards, and to save the town from the harsh reality of farming season. The game is a lot of work, and it takes a lot of Moriai's time and concentration. She sometimes gets lost in the code, and sometimes she must choose between doing what she is told or trying to do it yourself.
