Schach & Matt is a light-hearted game where the players must piece together story lines from within achoose between several different characters. The game is set in a small town in which the players must dialogue with different characters and must prevent them from attacking each other. There is a bit of a challenge to the game as it is, but not too much that it becomes too frustrating. The gameplay is where the game shines, with the players taking control of one of the characters. The other characters are each back-to-back, so players have a chance to hit all of the other characters with their partner. The game then ends the first character’s cycle, so players have to be careful not to hit the other characters as well. The game is not set in a certain time period, so players can change the characters during the game if they want. The game also has a bit of a learning game aspect, as players have to learn how to hit all the characters without getting hit themselves. The players can also change the characters’ ages if they want, but they only do this if the players have the game ready to play when they start the game.
