In Toon-Doku, you are a simple black-clad protagonist trying to stay alive in a world of bright, colorful pictures. Hussaini, the locals’s, andy’s open-air dens offer a range of opportunities for exploring and solving puzzles, as well as spending time together or avoiding danger. The Europe version of the game includes pictures of its own, with an extra fifty-one in the en-us version. The game is set in a unspecified time period, and follows a group of kids as they use their DS to explore the world around them. Briggs and His Moreners, a family of five, were not yet kids when they played the game, and remember when it was “a lot of fun”. Now, forty years later, they tell us about their latest game: “We’ve been playing Toon-Doku again this week, and it’s just as fun as it always was. The puzzles are well-made and keep you engaged from start to finish. The pictures are just as beautiful as they were when we played them, and we’ve been making sure to visit some of them in our lifetime.”
