Asterix and the Great Rescue is a console game for the Sega Genesis. It was published by Electronic Arts and developed by French developers Vivendi Games. The game was released in 1992, and was originally released in French. The gameplay is a sidescrolling action game, and the player controls Asterix as he navigates a variety of hazards and puzzles throughout the game. The objective of the game is to help the Roman general, Aelius Caesar, and his army escape from a besieged city.
