Earthworm Jim is an action-adventure game for the Sega Genesis. It was released in 1992 and is the third game in the Earthworm Jim series. The player controls Jim, a worm-like creature, as he tries to escape from a giant, live-in-the-mudworm-infested planet. The game is a side-scrolling platformer, and features three different worlds to explore: a city, a swamp, and an ocean. In each world, Jim must use his quick reflexes and creativity to navigate his way through obstacles and solve puzzles. The game also features various enemy creatures, including a giant, fire-breathing, worm-like creature, and a dragon-like creature. The title screen features Jim in a swamp, surrounded by alligators. The game's title screen also features a different, if similar, scene in each world. In the city, Jim is walking through a park, when he is surrounded by people. In the swamp, Jim is trying to find his way out of a construction site. In the ocean, Jim is trying to find a way to escape from a sunken ship.
