The Sega Genesis classic Olympic Gold is a 12-inch-wide, 8-bit platform game that was released in Japan in 1984 and in the United States in 1984. It is a sequel to the arcade game, the same name, and the only Genesis game released in both territories. The object of the game is to guide your team of athletes through a series of obstacles, including a series of hurdles, a tightrope, and a free-fall. The game was designed by Ken Kutaragi and is based on the real-life 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
