Pier Solar and the Great Architects is an action-adventure game for the Sega Genesis. The player controls the protagonist, Pier Solar, as he tries to save the world from the evil aliens known as the Great Architects. The game features a unique control scheme which allows the player to move the protagonist around the screen by moving the joystick in a westerly direction and then moving the D-pad in a northerly direction. The protagonist also has the ability to fire beams of energy from his cannons, which can destroy enemies and obstacles in the way.
