The Sega Channel was a US-based video game and entertainment network that was operated by the Sega Corporation. It was a service that offered a variety of arcade games, including Sega games and console versions of arcade classics. The channel was available on various cable providers in the United States. The network was shutdown on August 15, 1998, due to low ratings.
