Breath of Fire is a video game for the Super Nintendo. It was published by Nintendo and developed by Capcom. The game is a action-RPG, and is the first of the company's three main series, the other two being Street Fighter II and Super Mario World. The story follows the eponymous protagonist, a swordsman named Terry, as he struggles against enemies, including dragons and witches, in order to save the kingdom from a dragon-controlled city. Along the way, Terry must defeat other enemies, including bosses, in order to progress. The game features an 8-bit graphics style, and was designed to be easy to learn for new players. The game was a commercial success, and was ported to other platforms.
