GunForce is an action-adventure game for the Super Nintendo. It was developed by Bandai Namco and published by Bandai Namco America. The game is a sequel to the 1990s game Gun Force, and is the first game in the GunForce series. It was released in Japan on October 6, 1994 and in North America on December 15, 1994. The player controls a character, named Gunner, as he or she levels up and completes missions to progress through the game. In order to progress, the player must first purchase new weapons and equipment from the shop, and then battle enemies in the various levels. The game is set in a future where the Earth has been destroyed and the only way to save the planet is to find and destroy the otherworldly weapons that were used to destroy the planet. The player must use the weapons to fight against waves of enemies that have been sent to Earth to stop them. The game received mixed reviews from critics. However, it was praised for its innovative gameplay and graphics.
