Super Nintendo game Mortal Kombat is a fighting game developed by Midway and published by Nintendo. It was released in Europe on November 3, 1990, and in North America on November 5, 1990. It is the sixth game in the Mortal Kombat series. The game is a sidescrolling action platformer with a story mode and a set of competitive multiplayer games. The story mode follows the journey of the warrior warriors Mileena and Raiden as they travel across the world in search of powerful artifacts called 'Kombat Stones'. The competitive multiplayer games let players battle each other in real-time, or team up and play as a team.
