Super Nintendo Entertainment System/Super Nintendo, known in Japan as Super Famicom, is a console family from Nintendo. It was released in 1992 in Japan and 1994 in the United States. It was the first console to feature a four-player mode, as well as an expanding range of games. The system's graphics were greatly improved over its predecessors, and it became one of the most popular video game consoles of its era.
