The game is a sequel to the 1991 game Ranma 1-2, and the first game in the Ranma series. The game was released in Japan on March 18, 1996, and in North America on October 25, 1996. The game is a direct sequel to the 1990 game Ranma 1-2: The Adventure of Ranma and the In-game Currency. The game features a new story and cast of characters, and is the first game in the Ranma series to be released in English.
