Super Nintendo game Space Ace is a action-adventure game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe. It was released in Europe on November 6, 1990 and in North America on December 15, 1990. The player controls a space yacht, the 'Ace', as it navigates through an intergalactic space adventure. The objective of the game is to collect coins and power-ups to help the 'Ace' reach its destination. The player can also use the ship's cannons to battle enemies and protect the yacht from being damaged. The game was designed by Shinji Mikami, who also designed the 'Souls' series of video games, and is the first game in the series to be published in Europe. The development team included Makoto Yoshimura, Hideki Kamiya, Hideki Kamiya, and Yoichi Takada. The game was commercially successful in Europe, selling over one million copies. The game was also popular in North America, where it was also successful. The game has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for being the first video game ever to be released in both English and Japanese.
