Star Fox is a 3D action platformer video game developed and published by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on October 16, 1991, and in the United States on November 16, 1991. The game is a remake of the arcade game Star Fox. The player controls a space fighter, Fox, as he or she tries to stop an alien threat from taking over the galaxy. The game features a variety of different levels and bosses, as well as an online multiplayer mode. It is the only Super Nintendo game to feature a 5-player multiplayer mode.
