Batman Arkham Asylum is an action-adventure game for the Xbox 360. Developed by Rocksteady Studios, it is a sequel to the 2010 video game Arkham City and the first game in the Arkham series. The game is set within the Asylum, a secure psychiatric hospital in the city of Arkham. Players assume the role of Batman, using the game's three-dimensional environment to navigate through the facility and take on the criminals that have taken hold. Batman must use his grappling hook, batarang, and other tools to free hostages, and use his physical abilities to defeat enemies. The game also features new levels and game modes, as well as a new protagonist, the Scarecrow.
