Spec Ops The Line is an upcoming first-person shooter video game for the Xbox 360. Developed by game developer Hidetaka Miyazaki, it is set in the fictional Vietnamese city of Hanoi during the Vietnam War and takes place in a single-player campaign. The game was announced by Microsoft at E3 2009, and is set to be published by Bandai Namco. In Spec Ops The Line, players control a Special Forces operative as they attempt to stop a Viet Cong plot to destroy the city. The game features a large open world map, with players able to explore at will. The game is set in a time of great violence and turmoil, and is intended to evoke a sense of dread and sadness.
