Xbox game Soldier of Fortune 2 Double Helix is a side-scrolling action game for the Xbox. It was developed by Treyarch and published by Electronic Arts. The game is a sequel to the 1997 game Soldier of Fortune. The player controls a mercenary who, in order to complete the game, must first collect all the gold coins in the levels. The game features a variety of enemies, including Nazis, Vietcong, and Arabs. The mercenaries can also use their firearms to defeat enemies, or use the environment to their advantage. The game has an eight-player co-operative mode, in which players must help each other complete levels. The game was released in the United States on November 12, 2000.
