Diddy Kong Racing (Japan: ディディーコングレーシング) is a Nintendo 64 racing game developed and published by Rare in 1997. Players take control of one of eight characters, including Diddy Kong, Timber the Tiger, and Taj the Genie, and race around a variety of tracks in cars, hovercrafts, and airplanes. The game features a single-player adventure mode, in which players must complete a variety of races and challenges to progress, as well as a multiplayer mode for up to four players. The game also features a variety of power-ups, such as missiles and speed boosts, that can be used to gain an advantage over opponents.
