The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Japanese: ゼルダの伝説ムジュラの仮面) is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 in 2000. It is the sixth installment in The Legend of Zelda series and is the direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The game was re-released for the GameCube in 2003 as part of The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition. The game follows the protagonist, Link, as he travels through the land of Termina, trying to stop the moon from crashing into the world in three days. To do this, he must use the Ocarina of Time and the powerful masks he acquires to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and progress through the game's dungeons. Link must also use the masks he acquires to transform into different forms, such as a Deku Scrub, Goron, and Zora, each with their own special abilities. These forms are necessary for solving puzzles and accessing new areas. The game features a unique three-day cycle, in which the moon slowly moves closer to the world and the game's events and puzzles reset at the end of each cycle. This mechanic allows the player to experiment with different strategies and solutions to the game's puzzles.
