Mortal Kombat Trilogy (Japanese title: モータルコンバットトリロジー) is a fighting video game developed and published by Midway Games for the Nintendo 64 console. It was released in the United States on May 13, 1996 and is the third installment in the Mortal Kombat series. The game is a compilation of all three previous Mortal Kombat games, with a vast array of new features, including the addition of new characters, stages and moves. Players can choose from a wide selection of characters, including the original seven from the first Mortal Kombat game, as well as new characters from the subsequent two games. The game also features a variety of new stages, including the classic Mortal Kombat stages, as well as new stages based on the original three games. The game also features a variety of new moves, such as the ability to perform combos and fatalities, as well as the ability to perform special moves. Mortal Kombat Trilogy also features a variety of game modes, including a single-player mode, a two-player versus mode, and a four-player tournament mode.
