Perfect Dark (パーフェクトダーク) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Rare and released for the Nintendo 64 in 2000. The game is set in the year 2023, and the player takes on the role of Carrington Institute agent Joanna Dark as she attempts to uncover a sinister conspiracy. The game features a variety of weapons, enemies, and levels, as well as a wide range of gadgets and items. It also features a two-player split-screen mode and a variety of multiplayer modes. Perfect Dark was critically acclaimed upon release, and is considered one of the best games released for the Nintendo 64. It has since been re-released on the Xbox Live Arcade and the Wii Virtual Console.
