Bookworm (USA) (Japanese title: ブックワーム) is a puzzle video game developed by PopCap Games and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007. The game follows the same basic premise as the other versions of the game, in which the player has to create words out of a grid of letters in order to clear them from the board. The player can link up letters in any direction, including diagonally, as long as all the letters are connected. The objective is to create as many words as possible before the board is filled with unlinked letters. The longer the word, the higher the score. The game also features bonus tiles, which can be used to create bonus words for extra points. Additionally, there are power-ups that can be used to clear letters from the board or add bonus tiles. The game also features an Adventure mode, in which the player must complete various objectives in order to progress.
