Harvest Moon DS is a family-friendly game for the Nintendo DS that follows the adventures of a small town family who must find a way to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Through playlists that include agricultural tasks, fishing, and trade, the player’s town is formed by picking up the appropriate tasks at home or in town. There is also a “big picture” playlists that focus on a specific town or activity, such as a garden playdate with your gardening skills at the ready. The DS also comes with a local storage for side projects, which the player can explore with their team of friends. There is also a netbook feel to the game, which allows the player to easily pick up and play the game on their lunch hour. In the small town of Grondon, the player must pick up the appropriate tasks at home or in town to form a small town. To do this, the player must pick up the various activities at home or in town. The player can also pick up special tasks in the “big picture” playlists that are specific to their town. The player can have up to four friends at any given time be able to pick up and play the game on the same computer.
