In Pac-Man World 3, the world is divided into five zones: theinner room, theoutdoor room, theinventor's room, the and the last zone, theoomerang room. The player is asked to choose one of the zones and then to win points for each one he or she lives in. The player starts the game on the inner room zone, must navigate his or her way through the eight rooms in the zone, with a potential life point for each one he or she visits. There are three different types of object in the zone: life-gems, which can be used to increase the number of rooms visited, coins, which are in turn can be used to increase the points gained, and machines, which can be played to win items. The each zone has its own set of enemies, which must be defeated in order to end the game. The party game are included, which allows the player to explore the zones and help up to four friends reach the next zone.
