Super Nintendo game 'Batman Returns' is an action-adventure game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on October 15, 1992, and in the United States on November 15, 1992. The game is a sequel to the 1990 game 'Batman and Robin'. The player controls the titular character, Batman, as he returns to Gotham City to take on the likes of Ra's al Ghul and the Joker. The game features a new engine and introduces a number of new gameplay mechanics, including a fast-forward function, a jump function, and an unlimited life meter. 'Batman Returns' was a critical success, and remains one of the most popular Super Nintendo games. It was re-released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on October 9, 2018, and for the Nintendo Switch in North America on November 3, 2018.
