Shin Megami Tensei: if... is an action-RPG game for the Super Nintendo. It was developed by FromSoftware, and published by Bandai Namco. The game is a sequel to the 1990 game Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. The player controls a character, called a 'Soul Reaper,' as they venture through a dark world full of demons and otherworldly creatures. The game offers a variety of different gameplay modes, including story mode, versus mode, and a hub world in which the player can explore. The game was released in Japan in 1990, and was ported to the United States in 1992. It has been released in both English and Japanese versions.
