Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is an action-adventure game for the Super Nintendo. It was developed by Rare and published by Nintendo. The game is a sequel to the 1983 game Super Mario World. The player controls Luke Skywalker, who is attempting to stop the Empire from capturing the Rebel Alliance's Princess Leia. The game features an updated graphics engine, as well as new and improved controls. It also introduces a new enemy, the droids. These droids are able to shoot powerful beams out of their heads, which can disable the player's enemies.
