Tony Hawk's Skateboarding (Europe) (日本語タイトル: ティー・ホークススケートボードプロスケーター) is a skateboarding video game released in 1999 by Activision and developed by Neversoft for the Nintendo 64. It is the first game in the Tony Hawk's series of sports games. The game features a variety of real-life professional skateboarders, including Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, Kareem Campbell, Rune Glifberg, Andrew Reynolds, Bucky Lasek, Jamie Thomas, Eric Koston, Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska, and Elissa Steamer. Players take control of one of the skateboarders and skate around a 3D environment, performing tricks and stunts, competing in various challenges, and unlocking secret areas. The game also features a two-player mode, allowing players to compete against each other or cooperate to complete challenges. Tony Hawk's Skateboarding was well-received upon release and was praised for its graphics, sound, and gameplay. It was followed by several sequels and spin-offs, and is credited with popularizing the extreme sports genre of video games.
