Super Mario World is an 8-bit platform game developed and published by Nintendo. It was released for the Super Nintendo on August 15, 1990, in North America and August 24, 1990, in Europe. It is the first game in the Super Mario series, and is also the first game in the Mario series to be released in 3D. The player controls Luigi, Mario, and Princess Peach as they travel through a Mushroom Kingdom filled with various castles and other structures. The game features unique levels and enemies, as well as many classic Super Mario characters and items.
